The best movie of it's kind! Adam Baldwin masterly portrays a tortured soul. This was when he stole my heart!

This is a heartwarming film, superbly directed by ex-actor Tony Bill. Makepeace is excellent as the slight protagonist, and Baldwin is perfect as the brooding, misunderstood mammoth. Dave Grusin's score adds immeasurably to the tone.

I was never actually interested in watching this movie, the title and general description really don't do it justice though. I ended up really enjoying it, there was more depth to the plot than I had expected but at the same time it doesn't get depressingly serious. I'd definitely recommend it.

We enjoyed this muchly as kids. It's a poignant movie like a super-version of an Afterschool special. I'm sure it would still go over well with kids today. I don't need to watch it again however.
