Simple and superb. The pure tension created between the teacher and the class full of prickly adolescents is riveting.

This was an absolutely superb movie. While a docu-drama; it never disappoints and shows how good intentions are sometimes misunderstood or misconstrued. While it takes place in France, it could be any inner city classroom in any country! Completely natural. As a former teacher, it was totally heartfelt. Not to be missed! MitchsMoviePickZ

This is by far the best movie about secondary schools and about teaching I have ever seen. It puts Hollywood's standard narrative of the Superteacher who overcomes insurmountable adversity by just trying harder than everyone else and exhorting students to do better to shame. As a former middle school teacher in urban and multicultural settings similar to those in the film, I was catapulted by this film back into my classroom and back into the emotional and intellectual vise that is teaching in those conditions. I am a professor of secondary education now and I most definitely plan to show this film to my students.

At the heart of The Class is an exciting rapport between a teacher and his students, one in which language and ideas are constantly being tossed about and questioned.
