For those who delight in candy-coated nostalgia, writer Philip Gawthorne’s familiar, cliché-heavy script offers a twee jaunt down memory lane. For everyone else, even a killer Britpop soundtrack teamed with the leads’ palpable chemistry can’t save the film from overtrodden territory.

While the flashback element of the film is solidly worked, the dialogue is clunky to the point where the romantic moments sound like a cliche-swapping contest, rather than heartfelt emotions.

A witty and warm romantic film with standout perfromances from it's two leads. Really enjoyed watching two people trying to keep their relationship together. Not to be missed and according to deadline it's going to play in the US xx
