In this delightful fantasy adventure, a mild-mannered writer of adventure stories for girls finds himself presented with an intriguing proposition from an elderly fan. She suggests that they conspire to steal a secret whiskey formula from ruthless distillers, who themselves stole it from her family in years gone by. With the recipe back in hand however, it's not long before they attract attention from the Inspectors of Scotland Yard.

All in all a rather pleasant short B movie from the British film vaults. Ok, plot wise, don't worry about it too much but just enjoy the performances of Rutherford, Sid James, Dora Bryan and the rest.

Margaret Rutherford always creates an imposing character, as does James Robertson Justice, although he gets much less screen time here, but both are watchable. The plot however, if you can call it that, is weak and a let down, as is the comedy and a chuckle is hardly ever raised. The film title offers a lot more promise than the actual story delivers.
