This isn't your usual story of Robin Hood. Gritter more down to earth and vastly better told. It was a pleasure watching the director's cut. Run time is 2 hr and 35 minutes but it is worth it definitely. Riddley Scott has done an excellent job telling us this tale. Definitely recommended to view on BluRay. Also definitely having in your collection.

of course, if its like the kevin costner version I'm down. It's even better than the KC version. Oscar Isaac and prince john. Gotta love it.

Ridley Scott's Robin Hod is the most accurate adaptation to date. It's more brutal than previous takes on the legend telling the story of how Robin Hood became an outlaw. Although it's a little confused and could do with some more action, Scott's clever idea for the plot proves an effective technique. Russell Crowe looks very like what Robin might of looked like, but he's too wimpy and emotional to be a great outlaw. Still it's a fine adventure even if it's no Gladiator. A stunning blockbuster.

Can't get enough of this movie! The best rewritten legend of all time for screenplay! The characters are defined by great acting and unique writing. If you think you know the backbone of how this legend progresses, think again. This movie will keep even the most diehard Robin Hood fan guessing what will happen next. Russell Crowe delivers one of his best performances by bringing a sense of realism to the elusive myth we know as Robin Hood. If you are interested in movies with witty writing, unpredictable side plots. and great acting this is a MUST SEE!
