I love this movie!!! It is one of the best... possibly the greatest crime foreign film I have ever seen in a long time. It can compete against elite gangster films such as Scarface, Goodfellas or Casino or A prophet... It should not be overlooked but to warn you fellas: it is one hell of a long movie but every minute of it is worth it... I cannot wait for part 2 !!!

A really enjoyable movie about the life of the french gangster Jacques Mesrine which has some superb action sequences that are not over the top. Great acting from Vincent Cassel that makes this movie different from other famous gangster movies in its portrayal of the famous criminal Mesrine in a less glossy version than what hollywood often portrays of its fictional mobsters, which is probably good that it was a french flick instead.

The sequel to the first part without any delay or change. Mesrine's 24/7 criminal life left little to think over, because there is a non stop action, with all the twist and turns. The camera work, music, atmosphere is same as in the first which in normal. The second part shows the last years of Mesrine's where he struggles to find his reason for his actions, swaying between social revolution and hedonism...Cassel made his part brilliant and this movie is one of his best ones. An excellent movie, a homework for the "animation" crazy Hollywood

J'ai prÃ©fÃ©rÃ© la 1ere partie, mais toujours aussi bon et bien interpretÃ©. A cotÃ© "Quantum of Solace" (sorti en meme temps) fait pale figure.
