Making the Grade (1984)

Lazy preppie Palmer Woodrow hires street-smart Eddie Keaton to go to school for him while he lives it up in Europe. Eddie falls in love with preppie gal Tracey, upsetting Biff, the Hoover Academy bully. When his bookie from the old neighborhood, Dice, comes to collect on Eddie's gambling debts and Palmer returns early from Europe, the scheme slowly starts to unravel. Soon, Eddie can't even tell whose side he's really on.

My friends Steve Stelting and Chris Gondek and I watched this movie endlessly in high school, which says a lot for our taste in the 80s. So many good lines with such atrocious acting that you can't help but laugh. And Andrew "Diceman" Clay's raucous turn set his career on fire--for about 10 more minutes. By the way, I own this DVD. It's almost as funny as the 40-Year-Old Virgin.

I LOVE this movie! It's a classic movie that has an hilarious cast. The story lines cheesy, but of course it is...it was made in 1984! All in all its a good laugh..:)

I SERIOUSLY LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! JUDD NELSON IS A GREAT ACTOR,ANDTHIS MOVIE IS SO FUNNY. I LOVE AT THE END HOW EDDIE CONFESSES WHO HE REALLY IS AND TRACY TAKES HIM BACK. CLASSIC '80S MOVIE!!!!

Making the Grade is a disappointing film. It is about Palmer Woodrow who hires street-smart Eddie Keaton to go to school for him while he lives it up in Europe. Judd Nelson and Gordon Jump give terrible performances. The screenplay is badly written. Dorian Walker did a horrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture.
