I was lucky enough to see the premier of this movie last night. I'm a life-long fan of Harry Dean Stanton's and this was such a sweet swan song. The writing was top notch, a perfect slice of life for an old man living alone in the American Southwest and facing the inevitable. Everything about this movie was spot on. And I think he deserves an Oscar nod. Thank you, Harry.

Lucky is a profound, wry, slip of a movie carried by Stanton’s moving performance. It is a fitting curtain call; one of America’s great character actors might just have saved his best for last.

This was a terrific movie, certainly the most pleasant role I can recall for Harry Dean Stanton. It's full of charming characters in a small, western town, and you care for all them because they care for Harry.

A swan song for the legendary Harry Dean Stanton and damn does he knock it out of the park. 'Lucky' should go down as his best work of all time and a missed Oscar nomination as well.
