Primera versiÃ³n de un clÃ¡sico, pero con una pareja que no pega ni con cola: la gritona Dunne (que no me gusta nada) y un galÃ¡n como Boyer, que es mejor haciendo de gangster que de fino amante. La historia es bonita, los decorados geniales, la fotografia de Mate es de 10, pero la historia a mi me cansa un pelin. Es probable que sea por lo insufrible de la prota...

This is the original version of the famous "An Affair to Remeber" and certainly a nice film. I think Irene Dunne is very attractive but if we have "An Affair to Remeber" we don't need this film very much, I think. This version is simpler than the latter. Most of the main dialogue and the memorable shots of "An Affair to Remember" can be seen in this origina version almost in the same way, but the version of Grant and Kerr has a more sophisticated touch, such as the famous line "Winter must be cold for those who have no warm memories..", and some additional scenes in the 1958 version are very effective for the storytelling (like the one in which Grant and his fiancee does the TV interview and Kerr and her fiance watches it on TV), and of course, the memorable theme song is missing. And I think some similar scenes are directed better in the 1958 version. But if you are a huge fan of "An Affair to Remember", this is a must-see, it must be fun to spot differences and similarities between the two!!

This is the film "An Affair to Remeber" is based on -- and THIS film is the Best film of them all! Irene Dunne is stunning.

I thought "An Affair to Remember" was good. But this is great! It's so appalling that Irene Dunne never got an Oscar in her lifetime.

As a classic black and white 'weepy' type film, this is quite good. Its a bit cheesy but it has some nice dialogue and decent performances and its quite watchable. It may not be entirely what you expect but I would suggest tissues aren't a bad idea if your particularly prone to crying when watching films. I'd recommend this film, yes.
