Just watched it for the second time. It's a well made conventional love story, but, set in Spain's Siglo de Oro, the story of part of the life of one of literature's greats. Pretty accurate historically.

Muy buena producciÃ³n. Me parece una reconstrucciÃ³n interesante de la EspaÃ±a del Siglo de Oro, especialmente en lo que se refiere al teatro, si lo comparamos con pelÃculas como "Shakespeare in love".

The production design is solid and Alberto Ammann is a satisfaying lead, but sometimes Lope lacks rhythm.
