Campy and overwrought, Liz & Dick is not great art, but it's great fun.

Well as expected this was pretty bad.The dude playing Richard Burton (Grant Bowler) wasn't terrible but Lindsay Lohan sure lived up to all the hype about her performance. At least she kinda looked like Taylor, the make up was well done as were the costumes and I enjoyed seeing some of her iconic wardrobe, hair and jewelry but jeez the OTT acting. So horrible that at times I was laughing (her feinting spell) The scratchy Marlboro voice didn't really work for me either. Still interesting getting a peek into two past screen legends and their messy, sad, booze filled relationship. This biopic dramatizes their tumultuous romance from the first meeting on the set of Cleopatra, through their tabloid covered affair, first and second marriage and the death of Burton. -Which was in the 80's and that was fun getting to see Lohan done up as big haired, shoulder padded 80's Liz. 12.28.13

Taylor and Burton deserved better, and Lohan should have shed her protective shell and made an effort to try and understand a psyche other than her own.

I thought it was entertaining. The guy that plays Burton was great, looked and sounded just like him. Lindsay was not good, her acting is bad, she didn't even try to use the Liz voice and she didn't look like her. They needed to hire one of those makeup artists that transform people to look like stars, Plus when she was supposedly fat they didn't even bulk up her clothes.

Biopic of screen legends Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. Not sure how accurate was the portrayal but Dick and Liz did have a good time together while it lasted.
