Little Shop of Horrors (1986)

Seymour Krelborn is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik's; a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker, Audrey Fulquard, and is berated by Mr. Mushnik daily. One day, Seymour finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for it's supper.

a really good adaptation although it has the mood of a musical. a must see

I think watching this numerous times as a small child has had a serious effect on me as a person. How can you not love a musical about a giant man-eating plant from outer space? This film is a perfect example of where computer animation can ruin a movie. If this had been computer animated (which it would be, were it made now, without question) it would be a completely different and much less amazing movie.

Best musical ever! Suck it "Grease"! "You'll Be a Dentist" & "Down on Skid Row"... classic songs, funny shit... and the whole Audrey II scarffing down humans, blackmailing Seymour to kill so he can eat, and the eventual big reveal of a possible invasion... where do they get this shit? I never seen the original with Nicholson... probably don't want to go there... this film though is based off the Broadway musical that's based off the original movie... so I'm pretty sure this is as good as it gets.

Aclassic film in it's own right. Roger Corman's classic horror is re-imagined all brought back to the big screen with the musical essence of any hollywood production and the comic stylings of Rick moranis, Steve martin and even John candy. Soundtrack is awesome too. think motown mixed with opera.
