Little Shop of Horrors (1986)

Seymour Krelborn is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik's; a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker, Audrey Fulquard, and is berated by Mr. Mushnik daily. One day, Seymour finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for it's supper.

5 stars for the director's cut. The theatrical ending only exists because the test audiences didn't know what a good movie was.

There's just something about this one. The cast is great, the music is upbeat for most of the depressing plot. And I think it was inspiring that Ashman rewrote the downbeat ending. I think what really makes the film kick ass is Ellen Greene. I love it.
