Best movie of my all time favourite moviemaker Charlie Chaplin. Althought he made his reputation with the tramp character, this is not about that. A wonderful and touching story about an old clown who cannot entertain anymore.

Amazing film. It is great in every way possible. It is like showing the older generation of like silent and vaudville entertainers passing down the spotlight to the next generation. One of the best films I have ever seen and definately should be on the "Must See Before You Die" list.

Chaplin se ha destacado por hacer comedia, sin embargo, con LIMELIGHT demostro manejar el drama de una forma desgarradora. Aun asi, las escenas de comedia que tiene este filme son memorables en la historia del cine y el humor.

Chaplin has a very distinctive way of mixing slapstick with the sentimental, all to a great score co-written by Chaplin. It is all a little too sentimental and dramatic, but in a strange way, Chaplin manages to pull it off. It's a classical must.
