This is a pretty cool medieval actioneer with a good cast. A group of warriors led by Raiden (Clive Owen) march into the emperors grounds to take revenge on a corrupt Emperor for ordering the death of Master Bartok (Morgan Freeman) via Raiden's blade. I will admit I wish it was Ironclad violent but the acting, story and fights were pretty good so with all considered a good 2 hours of entertainment

I found myself starting to write a review during the credits of this warriors tale, but then stopped. I needed time to grasp the scope of what this story truly meant to write a fair review. Although not as exciting as recent movies, Last Knights was truly captivating for those who understand the time in which it represents. The code of soldiers in the late 18th century seems to illuminate that of which still exists today by are men and woman in uniform. Although slow, every scene has purpose and motivation that leads up to what I imagine most thought as an anticlimactic ending. For a movie that was based on honor it truly ended honorably, and in my normally harsh opinion was as entertaining as it was thought provoking. Truly an educated minds type of movie.

People complain about a slow burn but I found that great, I was drawn in and invested in each. Owen's usual bland performance distracts a little and Freeman clearly is just here for a paycheck. A little thin plot wise but a great tansposition of extreme honour code to a more "Western" Medieval setting. Overall I was engaged and enjoyed the movie a lot and was pleasantly surprised they went through with the ending and didn't smash cut a happy ending which would have been jarring.

I like this film very much. The critics are really showing their pretentiousness with this one. They are incapable of enjoying a film that is simply entertaining. The visual style of the film is great, the look and feel of the characters is unique, the action is beautiful and fluid, the acting is solid, and the revenge plot is always satisfying especially when you throw in some unpredictability. I think we have a cult hit. I feel sorry for the critics that couldn't enjoy it, because there is a lot of entertainment value here.

I really like this movie. Soundtrack is very good. Only big issue that fighting scenes could be choreographed better. Almost 2 hours of the movie wasn't too long for me.
