I must have seen a different movie than all of the critics. I found this movie to be well-written, taking the time to develop the characters and narrative in a way that was more plausible than Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I don't want to give anything away, but the twist in this movie is wonderful as the writers do a great job of taking you down one path, and then completely doing a turnaround. The cinematography is excellent, as is the lighting, although if you are looking for heavy effects this is not for you. Enjoyed it, and would encourage you to take the time to be swept away to a time when real honor meant something.

This movie was better than 47 Ronin by far. The costuming, choreography, visuals, acting, and sound were all superb. Was this an Oscar caliber film? No. It was a very entertaining movie.

Its cast aside, Last Knights proves as square and blandly manly as an old “Prince Valiant” comic strip. Mr. Owen’s hairdo and the faint smile edging his lips are more fetching than anything about Val, and the movie’s violence is more explicit than in most vintage comics, but “Knights” also works by combining narrative simplicity with moral certitude and appealing graphics.

Um nobre se revolta com a cobrança de propina de um ministro do imperador e acaba recebendo uma pena de morte que deveria ser cumprida por seu fiel comandante, porém após executar seu chefe o mesmo planeja a morte do ministro e depois de muito tempo fingindo ter voltado a bebedeira reune seu grupo com um grande plano e mata o ministro safado!
