The Forbidden Kingdom (2008)

An American teenager who is obsessed with Hong Kong cinema and kung-fu classics makes an extraordinary discovery in a Chinatown pawnshop: the legendary stick weapon of the Chinese sage and warrior, the Monkey King. With the lost relic in hand, the teenager unexpectedly finds himself travelling back to ancient China to join a crew of warriors from martial arts lore on a dangerous quest to free the imprisoned Monkey King.

My most favorite kung-fu movie. It was better than the crouching tiger. I was a little bored in crouching tiger. It was definitely entertaining and was very memorable. The ending was very good and that the grandpa was chan. it was very good!

Who doesn't love a movie with Kungfu? "The Forbidden Kingdom" is one of the few precious jewels that the modern martial arts movie industry has ever created. Not only does it have sick Kung Fu fights throughout the entire movie, it also carries two of Hollywood's greatest actors in the history of kung fu movies, and they are; Jackie Chan, and Jet Li. Jackie Chan's special sense of humor complements Jet Li's serious velocity, almost in a "Yin and Yang" if you would. On a scale of 1 to 10, "The Forbidden Kingdom" receives a solid 8.
