Komodo vs. Cobra (2005)

A team of environmentalists, including a reporter, her camera man, and an environmentalist's famous girlfriend charter a boat and with the captain, sail to a military island. They suspect the island is hosting to illegal activities. Upon arrival, however, they find no one. They finally reach a deserted house, where they find Dr. Susan Richardson, who tells them that everyone on the island is dead, including her father. Richardson's team were working on a compound that could make edible plants grow to super size, however the military intervened with plans of their own. They wanted to test the compound's effects on animals, and proceeded to feed it to several komodo dragons and cobras.

I give it five stars for the worst movie I have ever seen. And for some reason, I still remember just about every part of it... strange.

This is an absolutely atrocious piece of cinema, making for a fun and enjoyable film to remember. I can't justify giving it a bad rating after being so thoroughly entertained. The mostly raunchy performances mix in with some true attempts at acting, making it even more laughable. The sub-Discovery channel visual effects had me doubled over with laughter, and so did the "military base" that was totally the film's production office with a few non-discript set pieces and the same 6'7" African-American extra walking back and forth in the background. The plot, while generic in structure, is somehow totally unpredictable just because of how completely unmotivated everything was. Winning dialogue, dynamic lighting, the kind of quality that can be expected from acclaimed director that brought you such films as The Bare Wench Project and The DaVince Co-Ed.

Yes, it has terrible CGI. Yes, the actors are some of the worst actors yet seen on celluloid. Yes, the storyline makes about as much sense as the fact that 50% of people on Facebook want to see Meet The Spartans. Yes, the pacing is as uneven as a mountain road in the Himalayas. Yes, the director has about as much skill at film-making as Arnold Schwarzenegger has at cross-stitching. But I'll be damned if some of the moments in this horrible film weren't unintentionally hilarious.

This movie was pretty dodge. The only good thing about it was Jerri Manthey's acting. She was the star power performance in this Sci Fi movie. I would recommand only watching just to see the display from awesome acting from Jerri Manthey
