A highly entertaining adaptation, though very dated. Needs some restoration, so that the lush Technicolour filming of the Jungle locations can be fully appreciated. A Good film, worth your time, but don't dismiss the Disney film.

It's certainly one of the better versions of the famous and classic story. Sabu is terrific in one of his best roles. He is ideally cast. It's very nicely produced and is a very entertaining film.

The first ever film adaptation of Kipling's stories does good with remarkable direction of animals, plus an earnest and enchanting storyline, but is still held up by the time's less-than-rugged acting.
