While driving to Las Vegas for the bachelor party of her sister Melissa and her fiance Bobby, Kayla stops the car at a gas station to meet her date, Nik, a guy she met on the internet. Nik convinces her to take a secondary road under the protest of Bobby but the car breaks down. They find a house in the middle of nowhere and decide to take the car parked in the house's garage to the next city...

Well I did expect worse from this film ,but it turned out to be entertaining. I was sad that they didn't use the same voice for Rusty Nail. And the story was kinda going out on a limb and really I didn't think they captured the same nature of the character of Rusty Nail as they did in the first movie. All this said the movie was pretty entertaining to watch. So that being said that's why this straight to dvd release got 3 stars.

Kinda sick premise, has a few moments but overall a movie I'd judge with three words: watch, enjoy, forget.

i actually quiet liked this movie. though its a bit obvious that nik's lip rings are "fake" seeing as in the scene after the petrol station they filmed without the lip rings in.

Fairly similar to joy ride 1, but it is not quite as good because the ending is not very satisfying (there is no way anyone could survive after driving of a huge cliff in an exploded truck) and the story seems a bit more unrealistic. However it is still worth a watch for fans of the first one.
