Better than the second, but still a sucky sequel

The series gets worse with each sequel. Hopefully one day Robert Rodriguez or Quentin Tarantino will have a shot at directing another sequel. They need to explain the temple that features in this film and the original.

This one supposedly tells how it all began, but rather took place before the other two. Some plot holes were left unfilled, so we're still wondering how it all began. I also don't understand some of the vampire transformations to snake heads and tentacle arms, but who knows.

Better than the first sequel, but this prequel to "From Dusk Till Dawn" still isn't great stuff. This time it is a Western/Action movie that turns into a crazy Vampire movie halfway through. At least it followed the formula of the original better, and it certainly looks better than "Texas Blood Money" had...but it is difficult to capture the magic that first film had, even if you shake things up and make it a Western. A few good moments scattered in a mostly bland Western version of the original, superior, Rodriguez film.

Three stars for that one scene where that guy kicked that vampire in the nuts with his boot blade and pulled his nuts out of his body. Straight up awesome right there. The rest is poor.
