This is one of my more favorite childhood films that I still love to this day

I was so young when I saw this movie, that seeing it again as an adult I was surprised to re-learn that there was singing in it. I loved this movie as a child, and will always be coloured by that fond memory. I particularly like how old movies and books didn't feel the need to jump right into the action from the very beginning. The gentle set-up makes the fun that much greater once it gets going. The duck part at the end still gets my blood boiling.

(spoilers follow) Glad to see this one mostly held up in 2011, lots of thrilling sequences and the characters are compelling. I will say that I thought the piano love musical number was just dated and out of place, and the ending (with the exception of Lindenbrook's speech) felt a little funky and [too] absurd. Other than that, cool flick. 4/5 stars

I think of my dad everytime I watch this movie. This was our movie. It will always be a top favorite of mine.

Loads of spelunking fun. This is the good one, the remake was horrible.
