I think I enjoyed this film mostly for the reason that Claude Rains's character looked a lot like a college l;ecturer of mine. Apart from that, it's pretty standard adventuring, and sometimes slightly sub-standard. The lizrad wrasslin' was interesting as a relic of archaic special effects, and although shite, I much prefer these FX to CGI.

The best movie featuring magnified lizards with bonnets. Claude Rains is most welcome as Professor Challenger.

This is the one with Claude Rains as the scientist, and two gorgeous women in the divine shapes of Jill St John and Vitina Marcus. The dinos, alas, are enlarged reptiles with added plasticine, not stop-motion. All-in-all, never a great movie, but quite watchable.

Cheeseball from the land that time forgot. But very good fun on a crummy Saturday afternoon. I think that the TV guide on my cable system sums it up best with this description: "A British professor, a playboy and a rich woman in pink pants see lava and dinosaurs in the Amazon." That's as good as it gets.
