Johnny Belinda is an amazing film. It is about a doctor's to tutor a deaf/mute woman but it gets undermined when she is raped. Jane Wyman and Lew Ayres give excellent performances. The screenplay is well written and touching. Jean Negulesco did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed this motion picture because of the drama. Johnny Belinda is a must see.

Oh my goodness... this movie was FANTASTIC!! Jane Wyman totally deserved her Oscar for this role-- her eyes said everything. It is a film that everyone should see-- it also really brings to light how people with disabilities are treated-- even though it was over 60 years ago, the overall message of the movie still rings true today. GO SEE IT!

What two great actors...some of my favorites (Lew Ayres and Jane Wyman) :) This is such a touching and powerful movie. I cry nearly every time I see it. Very well acted and directed. Lew's character in this film seems to be so genuine. He's one of my favorite movie characters! This film is sure to be a favorite!
