It's crazy, ridiculous and melancholy... but it's neither a drama nor a comedy, some sort of a mix-up. Surely, Altman's not one of my top 10 favourite directors. I just don't get the guy.

It is a sunny, delightful, dreamy comedy, filled with lovely performances, skillful direction and topped off with an understated, clever, extraordinary script.

I haven't seen mnay Robert Altman films but this for me to start off with takes the piece of cake. The story is about an old woman named Cookie who lives in a beautiful house, on one day having missed her husband too much she commits suicide. Unfortunatley her nieces Camille and Cora witness tjhe body dead and first assume it to be suicide, but Camille covers it up to admit that soembody murdered her leaving the house to her. When Cookie's best firend and handyman Willis is accused of the murder for taking care of her guns. Now it is up to the police and the evidence to help support if Willis will stay in prison forever or will hsi anme be removed clean from the slate A perfect murder mystrey turned to a black comedy. I especially love the acting of all the actors. Particularly Glen Close as Camille, Julianne Moore as Cora and Liv Tyler as Emma along with other great performances. The film is delivered perfectly within a beautiful setting along with a great plot.This is by far the best Robert Altman moive i have seen in my life
