Loach has a feel for the material and his sure-hand at the helm is solid in this somewhat muted narrative.

Not exactly upbeat but a compelling story with perhaps just a little bit too much sugar on the top. Some good acting alongside some lame performances. A good story well shot and overall quite credible .
