what's better than james spader back in his hay day? two of him. even with old whorehouse eyes in double vision, this movie was horrible. granted it was 1988, still no excuse. with a transparent plot line it was really better background noise then a thriller.

Bland, second-rate serial killer thriller at least gives the talented James Spader a good showcase, playing a dual role no less (as a result of the silliest plot twist imaginable). For Cynthia Gibb completists, you should note she appears in her underwear, if that's any consolation.

Not a slam dunk but a nice way to further the Jack the ripper schtick.

Campy fun with an interesting (to say the most) twist on the Ripper story. Some of the actions are so improbable that it is hard to say one can "buy" the story here. Still worth a look on a rainy day though.
