Inheritance won't satisfy all tastes, but if you like your horror enigmatic and your scares truly earned, it's a refreshing take on the haunted house genre.

Leslie Felperin 25 Oct 2017

Davis and Kaye’s script lacks the black humor and high-wire comic timing that made The Celebration such a breakthrough, and the antics of the three main leads just become a bit sordid, inexplicable and oddly tiresome by the end, even though the performances are admirably committed.

Gary Goldstein 25 Oct 2017

Laura E. Davis and Jessica Kaye, who co-wrote and directed, compress a lifetime’s worth of familial puzzle pieces into a few choppy days of angst and dubious behavior that never quite gels, despite being occasionally intriguing.
