Set during the Cold War, the Soviets—led by sword-wielding Irina Spalko—are in search of a crystal skull which has supernatural powers related to a mystical Lost City of Gold. The writing continue to be fantastic even though the plot and storyline are not as original as the original three. The costume designs were amazing and I loved the scenery/sets especially the use of the 1950's. I thought the action/fight scenes were very well done. The musical score was fantastic. All of the visual/sound effects were done very nicely even though there was some overuse of visual effects. I especially loved how spectacular the acting performances were specifically Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett, Karen Allen, and John Hurt. I still like the first and third one's better than this one but I enjoyed this one better than the second one. Indiana Jones continues to be a fantastic movie series and one of my favorite movie series ever.

True to tradition. Just have expectation of CGI like in previews, and you will enjoy it more.

Nostalgia is driving the Duck here. Only worth five stars if taken in context...the 1950's. McCarthy...Russians...Aliens. Very little here is Indiana Jones. Shia is excellent as a greaser, and does a great job of aping a Raider's Indy. Less than pleased with Karen Allen, but appreciate the attempt to bring backstory into the fold.
