The monsters and the setting are great, the rest not so much.

First manned mission to Mars leads to discovery of angry martians with some stern warnings for planet Earth. Contains some laughably dated sexism directed toward the lone female on board by the men (although Iris takes it all in stride and even seems to enjoy the attention).

I'm mad because I read Ryan Crancknell's review of The Angry Red Planet and I think he is a worthless writer with little to offer his readers. It is amazing that legit places don't check out their reviewers before they let them write reviews. I guess they are letting anyone write reviews these days. I just wish that Ryan Cracknell could tell his readers a little more truth about a movie than he does. This movie has a really good story. I enjoyed it. I thought when people like Ryan Cracknell post reviews, they are supposed to help people make a decision as to weather it is worth watching or not. His reviews are either negative or positive. He does not know how to balance out a review. A review, to me, is when one writes good things and bad things about a movie. I really don't think he is capable of doing that. I know that I am going to find a new reviewer to read my reviews from. Thanks - Lisa
