Omg i watched this a first time in spanish class and i thought it was so stupid but i watched it again at home and cried this is a really good movie and i lov it

Based on the Julia Alvarez novel, this movie was made for tv and is the story of the Mirabal sisters that opposed the Trujillo regime in the Dominican republic.

I love this film. I watched it in my Spanish class my sophomore year and won't ever forget it. I would definitely recommend this.

this movie is only for the ppl who like watching historical movies! salma hayeks best performance so far! the essence of the scenerio has been captured so well n the role a church played in the days gone by is strongly presented! the film is a classic!!!!!
