This is, hands down, my favourite movie of all time. Even if it wasn't for the beautiful cinematography and great acting, the story alone would win me over in a heartbeat. Pure genius.

A dystopian Sy Fy film in a world without children with immigrants repressed and without human rights. The technology is not the important in this future, hope and faith are. By London streets we can see circulating some kind of vehicles that we are used to see now in South America and Asia. Many allusions to religion in the main story. A piece of art from Alfonso Cuarón with long shots. Clive Owen totally right as the conflicted hero.

"Children of Men" is a triumph of living and breathing dystopia propelled by amazing cinematography and directing (two single-take action scenes are breathtaking in their virtuosity and intensity) and an excellent cast. The texture and immediacy of the filmmaking channel past and present atrocities in rendering a powerful fable of hope and despair.
