In our Nature a dramatic tale about a son and father relationship that the son had not got over the ending of his father and mothers marriage breakup. In most cases books that turn into movies are ok but this should have stayed a book if it was a book. Its a straight forward dram tale and does not have anything special no action etc.. This movie is not rated but i would say its for the adults only. Its plane and flat lines all through the movie.

Yes, the pacing of In Our Nature is slow, and drags near the film's halfway point, but the top-notch ensemble propels the film forward, adding complexity to the characters while leaving the over-the-top melodrama for Lifetime.

The characters in this family drama are not given enough backstory or nuance to make their problems feel real, and none of the characters warrants much interest or compassion.

Brian Savelson's small-scaled domestic drama In Our Nature evokes a specific, fairly common experience: when two young lovers expose a still-blossoming relationship to their relatives' stifling attention.

I've just watched it and I'm truly amazed how psychologically accurate this film was... The difficult father- son relationship is showed in a both subtle and complex way... All the dialogues seemed really natural and fitting the events on the screen. The acting was superb, all 4 leads couldn't do a better job and I can't really understand why this film didn't get a wider recognition. I would love to see more pictures like this, moving family dramas, telling some important truths about relationships with people we love and yet find it so difficult to communicate with.
