The movie did a great job at fleshing out and adding dimensions to idealistic characters not commonly found outside the Progressive Era.

Franco clearly enjoys playing the idealistic rabble rouser, and who wouldn’t want to direct a movie so they could cast themselves as a charismatic radical? Unfortunately, watching someone else play make believe is only fun if you believe it yourself.

Adaptation du roman éponyme de John Steinbeck, ce film réaliser et interpréter par James Franco est plutôt de très bonne facture et possède un casting (malgré qu'on peut se questionner sur la présence de Selena Gomez) très intéressant. Un bon film "ovni".

Filme sobre a luta pelos direitos dos trabalhadores nos EUA, através de greves brutalmente reprimidas, na década de 30, em que estavam enfrentando a grande depressão. Apesar da interessante premissa, falta ritmo ao filme.
