Birdee Pruitt has been humiliated on live television by her best friend, Connie, who's been sleeping with Birdee's husband, Bill. Birdee tries starting over with her daughter, Bernice, by returning to her small Texas hometown, but she's faced with petty old acquaintances who are thrilled to see Birdee unhappy -- except for her friend Justin. As he helps Birdee get back on her feet, love begins to blossom.

One of those movies to watch with girlie friends, a night in, pj's, chocolates and wine. This film has everything, you shouldn't watch it if you don't want to cry. Its (another) all time favourite. Shows there is definitely always hope. Oh and it doesn't half help that Harry Connick Jr is gorgeous!

One of my absolute favorite movies of all time. Not only am I a big fan of the actors in this film but all the drama hits so close to home, it also has an awesome soundtrack too...

Definitely one of my top 5 "cheer up" movies that I've seen many, many times. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is I like so much about it, but it always draws me in.
