The director has made conflict in rural American outposts his own, but needs to perhaps turn on the lights at some point.

Wow... the fact that this movie hasn't gotten higher reviews shows just how much movie critics hate movies released on Net Flix.... this is one of the best of the year.

Hold the Dark is a challenging, fascinating film, but not quite the slam dunk that fans of Saulnier, particularly those who favored the more straightforward Green Room, were likely hoping for.

WOW! probably the best straight to netflix movie i've seen. dark. mysterious. SUSPENSEFUL. beautiful alaskan setting. holds ones attention and interest all the way through to the end. thoroughly recommend this one especially if you're a fan of ambiguous endings like me. :)
