A vigilante homeless man pulls into a new city and finds himself trapped in urban chaos, a city where crime rules and where the city's crime boss reigns. Seeing an urban landscape filled with armed robbers, corrupt cops, abused prostitutes and even a pedophile Santa, the Hobo goes about bringing justice to the city the best way he knows how - with a 20-gauge shotgun. Hobo with a Shotgun is what downhome we'd call a 'hoot.' Maybe two hoots. The title alone says it all.

A fresh entry in the action genre. The look and feel is like Lynch and Kubrick had a love-child. Jason Eisener totally makes his mark as a capable director. I was cheering through the whole film.

One hell of a fun film! Its bloody, gory, cuss covered, but a BLAST! Among the bloodshed there are great performances, great stylized editing, and this is how the "midnight grind-house flick" should be done.

This is a B-movie done right! Personally, I found this film to be far more entertaining and tolerable than Machete. Rutger Hauer is excellent as the Hobo, and he fully-embodies this role with all the right tones. Each time he appears on screen, he steals the show. The supporting cast is good, with Brian Downey giving an over-the-top but morbidly entertaining performance. Yes, it's as straight forward in it's storytelling as the title suggests, but it works well, partly due to it's short runtime.
