Hector is a quirky psychiatrist who has become increasingly tired of his humdrum life. As he tells his girlfriend, Clara, he feels like a fraud: he hasn't really tasted life, and yet he's offering advice to patients who are just not getting any happier. So Hector decides to break out of his deluded and routine driven life. Armed with buckets of courage and child-like curiosity, he embarks on a global quest in hopes of uncovering the elusive secret formula for true happiness. And so begins a larger than life adventure with riotously funny results.

This movie was fantastic! I can't believe it wasn't given the reception it deserves!

Well, I loved it. I could also relate to it, as Hector reminds me much of myself. I don't much care for experiencing a range of emotions, but I had no choice while watching this film. I recommend this to anyone looking for a pick-me-up.

I will NEVER understand why critics rated this so low. It has almost five stars on Netflix and 7/10 on IMDB. I LOVED this movie!!!! Watch it - you won't regret it.

Please don't go by what the "critics" have to say here. This is a VERY different from role for Pegg, so for people that have this preconceived notion that this is a typical Pegg movie, you are going to be greatly disappointed. This movie is a "journey" into searching within ourselves. I am sure that everyone well relate to different parts of the this movie.
