A shining work of Australian cinema, this superb screenplay explores greed, ambition, fragility and society. It draws inspiration from real life events in Sydney in the 70's enhanced with the artful direction of Phillip Noyce and strong performances from a perfectly cast talent roster.

The heat gets really turned up on an architect caught in his company's fight to get a vast new development started against stiff opposition from area residents and squatters. Raises some interesting moral questions between haves and have-nots.

In this remastered (with 5.1 DD sound) version of Phillip Noyce's second feature, with a lot of the background dialogue cleared out to ensure greater clarity for the story, we are reminded what a terrific and natural filmmaker he was from the beginning.
