It's...familiar plotting and by-the-numbers characterization that sinks this earnest, gay-contoured take on the evergreen making-it-big melodrama.

Matthew Ludwinski was amazing, but writer/director Casper Andres' performance was the film's worst. The ADR was bad in some parts, though the film looked very polished.Overall all it was enjoyable, nothing amazing.

The director's previous work (Big Gay Musical) was a black out bingo of every single gay movie cliche in the book. This movie feels like a re-imagined version of 'The Fluffer', but for good reason with one of the actors from 'The Fluffer' wrote the novel this movie is based off of. Where the 'Fluffer' had a bit of a noir feel, this film has a bit more of a comedy feel to it with some great supporting characters.

Good story and great main role. Awkward over acting occurs regularly. Still worth watching.
