Goin' South (1978)

classic nicholson, he even directed it. all his buddies are in it too. christopher lloyd, danny devito, and even john belushi. lots of fun western. jack rules!

I was looking for a comedy in the video store and past by and saw Jack's face on the cover of this DVD case. I rented it immediately and am happy I did.

A bucolic sex comedy in which Nicholson the director indulges Nicholson the star an orgy of coy monkey-shines in the role of a scruffy outlaw who enters into a marriage of convenience with a demure young woman who owns a ranch and a goldmine - expires right before your eyes from a terminal case of the feebles. Goin' South is the most flat-footed comedy to collapse on the screen since Nickelodeon.

Dicided to watch this as Jack Nickelson stars in it and also directs the film! Very low budget, with a great cast, surprisingly! The loveable rouge Jack seems to have a blocked up nose the whole way through but it's a story of love and fortune with the idiots added on for extra effect. If you don't mind washing away the odd 2hrs then watch, even if it's good to see jack looking so god dame young again!!!!
