A epic story-line expressing redemption as its theme, grand set pieces, a memorable score by Hans Zimmer, and an memorable ensemble led by Crowe prove Ridley Scott's greatness as a director.

One of the greatest films of its year. It's so full, it's got no flaws. Crowe and Phoenix fly around the film, attacking each other with equal strikes, complimenting each other through each others' performances.

A very well done movie by Ridley Scott with strong casting does a fantastic job at reviving interest in the historical epic genre. Overall it is very well done and creates a complex and intense plot.
