Stallone at the top of his over the hill bad-assery. A bit flabby especially when compared to co-stars Mickey Rourke and John C. McGinley. The movie tries to do too much though stuffing a 2 hour plus movie into an hour and a half. Jumps around and doesn't really develop its plot but still entertaining.

Get Carter ultimately lacks the courage of its convictions: it can't stand to be thought of as the pulp it so clearly is.

I think its really nice adaptation .. just perhaps the part that Caine replaced by Stallone is not fit enough .. they should cast another guy who more calm but dangerous enough ..

Critically panned but all Sly fans love it. The chemistry between Sly and Rachel Leigh Cook is suuperb.
