Awesome movie. Disney failed to promote it properly. And now we suffer. This movie will definitely go beyond all your expectations.

To all the uneducated fools who rate this movie as poor: This movie is based on a novel written in 1917. The reason that it may seem like it brings 'northing new' is because it is THE ORIGINAL that brought this style of sci fi storyline... I am rating this movie 100% because of all the troll reviews. 4.5/5 The only problem with this movie was that is should have been split into two movies as the plot and story seem rush even in 3 hours. I loved every second of it.

This is one of very few movies I actually enjoyed watching. It delivered for me even though I did not expect it to. I actually cared about the characters and enjoyed the story. Something that happens very rarely for me these days.

What the critics missed was that this was not the wall-to-wall action-fest that Disney promoted -- it was a romantic sci-fi saga that remained true to the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels AND had wonderfully stirring action in support of that. What I will remember most is the absolutely flawless pacing of the entire movie from beginning to end.
