The latest Gamera film. It's OK I suppose but not as good as the 90's trilogy.

ok, the first 3 minutes hooked me in immedietly! its one of my favorite kaiju films ever!!!! but i must say gamera was lacking in all design and looked weird. but the films great, more kid orented, but the heisei gamera series was more serious. same with this, funny, weird, spooky. i personally like godzilla more and think he would win in a fight, but i can't help but say that this is a really good KAIJU FILM!

Yes, you need not fear, the Gamera will protect us. A Gamera Nature will apparently even die to protect us, for reasons that boggle our industrialized minds, but it cannot defend humanity without the source of its power. And will we return it? No, apparently not. But as jaded, defeatist and misguided as we are, our children can see the world differently, and maybe they can recognize what Gamera needs. But will we let them? Frankly my dears, I don't think the children will give a damn what we allow. If you have kids, even if only somewhere inside you, watch this movie.

This is a wonderful love letter to the series, and Kaiju films in general. Where's the 90's trilogy focused on the dark and epic, this gem focuses on the lighthearted wonder of the Kaiju genre. Heart warming and a joy to behold.
