The latest Gamera film. It's OK I suppose but not as good as the 90's trilogy.

This movie is for kids. It is a let down if you've seen the Gamera Trillogy, but it is ok on it's own.

I have seen some pretty cheesy monster movies, but this one was actually really good and I enjoyed it. It wasn't as cheesy as the Godzilla movies and I would be interested in seeing the other ones.

Yes, you need not fear, the Gamera will protect us. A Gamera Nature will apparently even die to protect us, for reasons that boggle our industrialized minds, but it cannot defend humanity without the source of its power. And will we return it? No, apparently not. But as jaded, defeatist and misguided as we are, our children can see the world differently, and maybe they can recognize what Gamera needs. But will we let them? Frankly my dears, I don't think the children will give a damn what we allow. If you have kids, even if only somewhere inside you, watch this movie.

A kids movie for sure. Not the serious Gamera movie I was expecting. But I've always enjoyed the Japanese monsters movie since I was a kid myself.
