Gamera surpasses Godzilla in every way imaginable.

A surprisingly good giant monster movie. This one deserves a look from anyone that's a fan of the genre.

Even though Gamera was created by a rival studio to try and feed off of the popularity of Godzilla, he's become a brilliant giant monster in his own right, especially with this movie (and the trilogy it's part of). Go Gamera!

One of the best In the series, Right up there with "Gamera Vs. Barugon",as well as one of the better remakes I've seen, And probably one of the best Kaiju films I've seen. This is essentially a Remake of the 1st and 3rd Gamera films, but With a new twist. It gives both Gamera, and Gaos Completely new origins. If you like Kaiju movies, I'd give this one a watch.

Gamera: Guardian of the Universe is well made by monster movie standards. Much better than most of the heisei and millenium-era Godzilla movies. Still, a monster movie is a monster movie, and I can only recommend this to my fellow sci-fi movie geeks.
