Its considerable satisfactions ... come mainly from the way the story is told, which spells nothing out, and in fact is so reticent that the viewer is constantly drawn into the creation of meaning.

Performances are great, soundtrack is catchy and I really thought it was an interesting way to film a story, focusing on scenes with few dialogues and most expressions from the actors. The script is very promissing too, about a man who leaves his family behind and goes to Berlin to stay with a man he met after a tragic accident at Praia do Futuro. On the other hand, this way of filming, which remined me a lot of Terrence Malick's "To The Wonder", bothered me a lot and it never connected me with the story. To be honest, this film left a huge empty space in my head because I couldn't understand very well what happended to the characters. In the end, I had nothing to reflect about. In other words, it's as if the script wasn't very well developed on screen. It's a shame.
