A good movie that could have been an excellent one if the flashback sequence and the frame story hadn't been oddly out-of-tune. It's a shame, because both plot lines were intriguing and emotionally charged by themselves - it's just the combination that didn't quite work the way it should have. Still, it's an enjoyable movie, and Daniel Craig, Harry Eden and Eve put in great performances.

A pretty good story of redemption they didnt need to have all the nudity in there to convey that he was addicted to sex ok we got it

Daniel Craig proves he is still staying true to his acting roots with this funny and moving British movie. This doesn't fall into the trap of a fragmented, confusing time-jumping movie, instead really investing in both eras in which it is set...and all the better for it. The characters are wonderfully real, the plot deep and the soundtrack superb.

this was really good, daniel craig was excellent, the story had me interested from the beginning, and the flashback bit was done well and not in a prententious way. definitely recommend it!

Fantastic performances by all...Daniel Craig is wonderful in this...a mixture of a monster of his and hollywoods creation...and a lost (in the past) tender inner boy! Fab stuff.
