I went in not knowing anything about this and I left surprised and satisfied. Craig plays a has-been Hollywood star, tragedy forces him to revisit his adolescence and the events that brought him to his current state. This film won't be to everyone's taste but there are far worse ways of spending a couple of hours.

Really loved the storyline and the way it was told. It was different and realistic (ish). I think I more or less liked it because you really get to be inside the main character's head. You can understand why his life is so messed up and it even made me yell at the TV, wanting him to make better decisions. But that's what it's like in life; we don't always make the right decisions, and we don't even notice when we're making bad ones. I'm sure if somebody was watching every decision we made, they'd probably yell at us. To sum up, great movie.

Okay, 5/5. It's an awesome movie about how the past, though we think we're rid of it, is always a part of our lives. Joe Scot, a seemingly unincumbered aging Hollywood star indulging in the sex, drugs and rock and roll life style his career choice has afforded him, is revealed to be a much more sensitive and compassionate man when his history is revealed through an extended flashback sequence that explains his rationale. It causes, at least it -caused- me, to look back at my own life and realize how things I had pushed out of my mind affected my current behavior, not unlike Joe Scott. Awesome acting all around. Daniel Craig definitely has a career after he ages out of a plausible James Bond role. Everyone MUST SEE this movie!!!
