UPDATE* Def worth a rewatch. the sub sub plot is still shaky but the overall action and the legit whole ending quarter blows away anything 80% of american action directors would even attempt. No surprise here that even a sub par through-out Hong Kong film is more entertaining, well shot, well acted, and overall more interesting then 75% of US films.

Who is bad and who is good?! Is this an action or chick flick? Firestorm is all over the place to the point where you just don't care about any of it half way through the movie.

A good old fashioned HK police vs. crooks action movie. Quite possibly the most on screen havoc wreaked in HK in memory. This film has enough twists and turns to keep me fully engaged, and it reminded me how much I love a good Andy Lau movie.

A great film with similar traits between movies like heat and the departed. Andy Lau is truly an action superstar!

Think Heat, turned up to "11". Throw in a little Point Break, and you got this Chinese action crime drama, Firestorm.
