As always, the film gets an automatic 3 1/2 stars because of the presence of my favorite actress, which of course is Brittany Snow. It gets the extra 1/2 star because I found Broderick's, and to a lesser degree Snow's, characters more fleshed out than they had a right to be in this kind of movie, and as bizarre as the overall movie is, is has a certain something about it. Peter Facinelli, playing pure id in the form of Snow's deadbeat boyfriend, is surreally brilliant, one of the true surprises of the film.

Fun film, Broderick does a nice job with some great smart-ass one liners. Check it out if you're a fan of him or indie flicks.

i'm not quite sure what to make of it. a bit light and not really funny, but that's okay. [a day later:] i gave it some more thought. it sucked.

A poignant drama with impressive performances from two actors who simply don't get the credit they deserve. There are some wickedly funny moments for sure, but this is definitely less comedic than the marketing will lead you believe.
