This is the film's most interesting angle: the tension that arises as rabble-rousers fight with cops and rail against the promoters who dared to charge $16 for a daylong concert.

I want to go across Canada by train with a bunch of awesome musicians in 1970! Damn my not being born for another 15 years!

Spinal Tap meets the greatest collection of folk, rock & funk artists of the day. Worth watching for the behind-the-scenes performances as the legendary performances on the stage. Anyone who hasn't done so already needs to get on the train! My thanks to Bill Walton for the recommendation.

Name an artist from this era and they are in this movie. Its a who's who of the Haight-Ashbury decade. How much pot and LSD was used for this tour? A whole lot. You don't know shit about music if you haven't seen this.
