Lean, mean Texas Ranger Jack Benteen locks horns with a former friend, Cash Bailey, now a ruthless drug kingpin. The Wild Bunch meets No Country for Old Men as directed by Walter Hill? Yes PLEASE! Also including the awesome cast of Powers Boothe, Michael Ironside, Rip Torn, Clancy Brown, William Forsythe and Nick Nolte (before he went all crazy). Did I mention it's co-written by John Milius?

Average action-thriller on the modern Western from thriller specialist Walter Hill is phenomenally violent and yet still manages to be tedious. Nick Nolte is the Texas Ranger up against fromer chum Powers Boothe who's now a wrong turn.

We've seen this kind of movie before but it's still worth the ride because Walter Hill drives it--Don't bother calling room service. Everyone's dead!!

Walter Hill and John Milius' love letter to Peckinpah, Powers Boothe is a rompin, stompin scenery chewing bad guy in this film and you love him for it

How the hell I missed this in the 80's I'll never know or forgive myself for. This is old school action-drama when it was done right with excellent performances from Nolte, Powers Booth and Clancey Brown.
